Supporting Women's racing and prize equality at the upperlimb .com Cunningham Classic

Kangaroo Point Cycling Club is proudly committed to the development of an equitable and sustainable future for women in the sport of cycling.

We are proud to have built a strong a 'Women's Only' program in the Club and have delivered a range of exciting new initiatives in the past 12 months that have provided Women with a safe, supportive and fun environment to enjoy their riding. Some of our highlights include the Novice Women's Tour, our Women's Only Weekdays rides, Criterium Racing Training and most recently the Cunningham Classic Women's Only Training Program.

Beyond the Club, we view the responsibility for developing Women's cycling as a shared responsibility and tip our hats to a range of organisations and leading Club's throughout Australia who are also working hard towards a bright future for Women's cycling.

In particular, we thank Cycling Australia, Cycling Queensland,, DWBH HomewaresKirsty Broun Cycling, Planet Cycles - Planet Femme, ActivCycle Coaching, AvantiPlus The ValleyCrankstar, MySweetopiaHamilton Pine Rivers Wheelers, St Kilda Cycling Club, Melbourne Cycling League and Sydney Cycling Club for their support, advice and contributions to our initiatives. In line with our commitment to Women's cycling and with the support of our Presenting Partners upperlimb.comDWBH Homewares and AvantiPlus The Valley; the Kangaroo Point Cycling Club is excited to announce two significant changes to the format of Queensland's toughest and most prestigious one-day road race classic; the Cunningham Classic.

In 2014, the Kangaroo Point Cycling Club will offer separate and fully supported Women's Only races at the Cunningham Classic.

In addition, the Kangaroo Point Cycling Club will be providing an equitable prize pool with cash, prizes and giveaways identical across all of our Men's and Women's 97km races.

We believe that this is an exciting step forward for the Cunningham Classic and with your support we we look forward to welcoming competitors to Gatton on Saturday the 2nd of August 2014 for another safe, competitive and fair race.
